Mrs. Deal’s Cosmetology class and Mrs. Jeffries honors Chemistry class combined classes and chemicals to make a hair-raising shampoo! Students worked together to navigate through a chemical formula to create a pH balanced shampoo. Students then evaluated the chemical reaction on human hair of their newly produced product.
F.B.L.A. students have the opportunity to achieve National Merit Awards through the Business Achievement Award program through National FBLA. Through the four levels students will grow in Education, Service, and Progress in the organization and in Business skills. Students will receive recognition on the Local, State, and National level. Walker Valley hosted an Academy Night to showcase elective focus courses on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Students and parents traveled throughout the building to view programs in the three career themed academies. There was a great crowd to view the STEM, Humanities, and Medical Business (MBA) Academy.
